Then came the internet, and we traded humanity for scale. Shopping became efficient but soulless: endless product grids, generic descriptions, no one to guide you.

TextYess is here to restore what was lost. We build AI agents that bring back the personal, conversational shopping experience, at infinite scale. Through WhatsApp and messaging apps, we help brands sell through tailored, real-time conversations that feel natural, helpful, and human.

We work with brands like Ducati, Pittarosso, Piazza Italia, and Doppelgänger. We closed a €2.4M seed round and we're just getting started.

🚀 The Role

You'll be joining a seven-person engineering team led by Valdo (CTO). We're remote-first with an office in Milan. We ship every week. Everyone owns their surface — there are no tickets waiting for you, no specs handed down from above. If you see a problem, you fix it. If you see an opportunity, you take it.

This is an engineering role for someone who thinks like a product person. You'll work across the full stack (TypeScript/Node, React, Python) on the core platform: the merchant dashboard, agent configuration, conversation flows, and the integrations that connect TextYess to the e-commerce world. You'll talk to merchants, understand their problems, and turn what you learn into features that ship.

What AI-native means here: you start your day opening Claude Code and asking it to brief you on where things stand. You run multiple parallel sessions. You don't write boilerplate — you design, review, and direct. Coding agents are not a tool you occasionally reach for. They are how you work, every day, by default. If that's not already how you operate, this isn't the right role.

What you'll work on:

→ Build and own product features end-to-end — from idea to production

→ Improve the merchant experience: onboarding, configuration, analytics, control

→ Integrate with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, custom catalogs)

→ Work with AI-powered flows — prompts, tool calls, agent logic — not just as a consumer but as a contributor

→ Help define what we build next, not just how

🎯 Who You Are

You've shipped features that real users depend on, in a fast-moving environment. You know the difference between something that works in a demo and something that holds up in production. You think about the user before you think about the implementation. You move fast — not recklessly, but with urgency and intention. And you've already replaced a big chunk of your workflow with coding agents.

Must-haves:

→ Strong full-stack skills — TypeScript/Node backend, React frontend

→ Product instinct — you ask "should we build this?" before "how do we build this?"

→ Extreme ownership — you carry things to completion without being pushed

→ Fluent with coding agents — Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent is your default environment, not a shortcut you use occasionally

→ Production experience — you know what it means to ship and support real software at scale

Bonus:

→ Experience managing or mentoring engineers — you've led a team or tech-led a project and made people around you better

→ Experience with e-commerce platforms or conversational products

→ Previous startup experience — you know what urgency feels like
